Image Inpainting To be rescheduled / UCSD closed

Moe Ebrahimi
Department of Mathematics, UCSD

Abstract:

Image inpainting involves filling in part of an image (or video) usinginformation from the surrounding area. In this talk I will discuss theconnection of Navier-Stokes equations (NSE) in image inpainting. Thisimportant connection suggests the possibility of other hybrid methods orturbulence models in image inpainting.Recently, the three-dimensional (3d) Navier-Stokes-Voight (NSV) equations, were suggested as a regularizing model for the 3d NSE. We would like toinvestigate how we can tune the relevant parameters of this model tooptimize the end result in image inpainting.
